Free: Download 3D printable cookie cutters and make this gingerbread house

Let’s get into the Christmas Spirit! We were a little bit tired of the pre-made gingerbread house design available at the grocery store, so we decided to design our own one!

Do you want to make this gingerbread house as well? We are more than happy to share the cookie cutters with you. Download the 3D printable cookie cutters for free from Thingiverse to make our pretty gingerbread house.

3D print the cookie cutters, and bring them home to your family and/or friends and spend some quality time with them. Bake, decorate, and build this cute gingerbread house. Enjoy!

Instructions

3D print the cookie cutters for the gingerbread house

3D print one copy of each STL file (download the files here). Tip: Print all the cookie cutters for level 1 in one color, the level 2 cookie cutters in another color, and the level 3 cookie cutters in a third color. This will make it easier when baking.

Bake the gingerbread house cookies

  • Bake 1 piece of “Level 1 – Wall with door.stl”
  • Bake 4 pieces of “Level 1 – Wall with window.stl”
  • Bake 5 pieces of “Level 1 – Supporting wall.stl”
  • Bake 1 piece of “Level 1 – Roof.stl”
  • Bake 5 pieces of “Level 2 – Wall with window.stl”
  • Bake 5 pieces of “Level 2 – Supporting wall.stl”
  • Bake 1 piece of “Level 2 – Roof.stl”
  • Bake 4 pieces of “Level 3 – Wall with window.stl”

Decorate the gingerbread house

If you want to decorate your gingerbread house, we recommed to do this now, before building it together. Use some icing and maybe some lollies. Tip! If you want, you can use gelatin sheets as windows.

Build the gingerbread house

Glue the pieces together using melted sugar.

STEP 1: Build the first level. Start with 1 cookie made with “Level 1 – Wall with door.stl”, and 4 cookies make with “Level 1 – Wall with window.stl”. The gingerbread house is supposed to be a pentagon shape. Tip: Use the “Level 1 – Roof.stl” cookie cutter as a template when putting the walls together. See image below.

STEP 2: Add 5 cookies made with “Level 1 – Supporting wall.stl” in each corner. These supporting walls will hold up the roof. See image below.

STEP 3: Put 1 cookie made with “Level 1 – Roof.stl” on top as a roof. See image below.

STEP 4. Build the second level. Repeat the above steps (STEP 1– STEP 3), but use all the cookies you made with “Level 2” cookie cutters instead. Level 2 has no door, and therefore 5 walls with windows instead. See image below.

STEP 5. Build the third level. The third level consists of four walls only, and will therefore be shaped as a square instead of a pentagon. There’s no roof and therefore no supporting walls needed. See image below.
