Ultimaker and MakerBot merge to fuel global 3D printing innovation

MakerBot and Ultimaker, two leaders in desktop 3D printing, yesterday announced that they have agreed to merge with the goal of accelerating the global adoption of additive manufacturing.

We’ve been resellers of both these brands for many years, and are excited to follow this journey to see what this means for the future of additive manufacturing and rapid prototyping.

The new company will maintain headquarters in both The Netherlands (Ultimaker’s headquarters) and New York, USA (MakerBot’s headquarters).

Read the official press release for more information on the merge.
